Charged twice for a order of very bad fish& chips

I have never been charged twice for an order of food didnt notice till next day .The order of fish& chips was very bad chips ok fish was hard frozen fish . Being from out of London I will not go back or recommend Pickle Barrow. This happened on August 10 2023 .

Service

We just ate the North York location. Terrible service. No body came by to say I'll be with you shortly. Asked for a diet coke and 3 waters. At least 15 minutes went by till we asked someone to assist us. We know they were busy but were customers as well. Treated us like we were ghosts. The 3 orders of ribs were fatty. First time service was horrendous

We stopped at the Sherway location tonight for dinner on our way home to Niagara. What a total disappointment. The restaurant was less than 25% full and we were seated at a booth that had not been cleaned since the previous customer. After trying to get someone's attention for at least five minutes, we got moved to a clean booth near the bar. Our drinks came quickly enough, but then we waited 45 minutes for a salad and a sandwich. The server made no attempt to inform us that they were running slow in the kitchen. When our meals finally arrived, the pastrami sandwich did not look anything like the picture on the menu. We counted six paper thin slices of meat. My salad looked ok but tasted disgusting. The 'roasted beets' tasted like they came out of a jar. The chicken was ice cold and barely cooked. The salad greens were cut into tiny pieces and all the edges were old and wilted. The dressing, which you could barely find, tasted foul. I ate three or four mouthfuls and couldn't eat the rest. My husband was going to take it home, but after he tasted it, he agreed that it wasn't worth the effort. What was so disappointing was the fact that we have been to this restaurant many times and ordered these very same meals and they used to be fresh and tasty and full portions. We also noticed and could hear other customers complaining about the service as well as the quality of the food. To top it off, we both stopped in to the washrooms to wash our hands before leaving, and came out staring at each other in disbelief. Absolutely filthy. The men's urinals were covered in splattered urine and hair. The women's washroom smelled of old urine, the tiled walls were dirty and the white grouting was black from mold and dirt to about six inches up from the filthy floor that hadn't seen a wash in days. When I went to wash my hands, there was no soap in any one of the three dispensers. We were so hungry and probably would have let things slide, but there was just so much wrong with the entire dining experience. Dirty tables, disgusting food, poor customer service, and filthy washrooms all in one place was too much to comprehend. Never again to the pickle barrel, no matter how hungry. The entire experience was not worth even one star. You really need to clean up your act or you will be out of business very soon.

Unhappy with new menu

I went to Yorkdale mall to eat at pickle barrel I was unhappy with the menu I found the menu to be very low-key like they were just starting out from day one they open the business. Due to the Covid I dont think the menu shouldve changed yes generally you can take some things off the menu for corn from a five page menu and people love the food I pickle ball to something thats a mom and pop shop with a short menu and taking all the good appetizers off steaks off and everything else I was very small. I do think this is the end of pickle barrel .

False Advertising

I went to Pickle Barrel (Eaton center) last night and when I received my bill. At the bottom of the bill it says exactly this: Mon-Fri 3-6pm... Half Price for appz and drinks!!! So I did ordered a calamari appetizer at exactly 5pm so my appetizer should of be half price, but when the bill came it was not. I asked the server the reason and she told me that this special is for the lounge area only on the main floor to incite the clients to go to the lounge area. But on the bill nothing is indicated. Correct this because this is a false advertising on the bill! They should of honor my appetizer half price as the bill said!!!

Pickle Barrel Express - Yonge and Eglinton - BAD SERVICE, FOOD QUESTIONABLE

This is the worst takeout counter ever in Toronto. I work in the building, so I see what happens there on daily basis. There are two staff people of Philippino decent, there are continuously talking in their own language, laughing and horsing around. They are so unprofessional! When helping customers they are often rude and unpleasant. Sometimes you get the feeling that they hate being there. Also, once I ordered there chicken wrap, and I got very sick with food poisoning. It was the only thing I ate that day. I called the manager to inform him, he was useful and asked me to report it to the ministry of health. This is the worst takeout counter ever in Toronto. Is this the same one near the in the Mall near Toys are US, I have been there, never had these problems you had so perhaps they left the restaurant or you are making it up about the food poisoning for some money?
